Senior Management

Mayne Pharma International’s senior management team is comprised of;

Chief Executive Officer – Dr Roger Aston (PhD, BSc (Hons))

Previously at Wellcome poc (now Glaxo Smith Kline), Dr Aston has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. His previous positions have included CEO of Peptech Limited (Australia), Director of Cambridge Antibody Technology Limited (UK) and Chairman of Cambridge Drug Discovery Limited (UK - now BioFocus pic). Dr Aston was also founder and CEO of Biokine Technology Ltd (UK) prior to its acquisition by the Peptech Group. Dr Aston was also a co-founder of pSivida Ltd.

Innovation Manager  - Angelo Morella (PhD, BSc (Hons))

Angelo has been with Mayne Pharma International (previously F H Faulding & Co Limited) since 1985. In this time he has had a wide range of experience in different managerial positions including, Formulation Development Manager, Product Development Manager and Drug Product Discovery Manager. He is listed as an inventor on 82 different patents and patent applications on oral drug delivery systems and products and is a member of the University of South Australia Pharmaceutical Science advisory board.

Director, Outlicensing & Contract Manufacturing - Peter Schembri (BSc, MBA)

Peter’s career spans 30 years in the healthcare industry covering pharmaceutical marketing & sales, business development and general management and has held executive positions in a number of multinational companies.  Specific areas of experience include Pharmaceuticals & Health science, Vision Care, Medical Devices and Consumables. In recent years he has had significant experience in assisting biotechnology companies in developing oral formulations and pharmaceutical companies with product life cycle management. Peter has responsibility for the commercial direction of contract and internal product development projects and contract manufacturing businesses.

Site Operations Manager – Vince Caretti (B Eng (Hons))  

Vince, a chemical engineer, has worked in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries for over 24 years. His roles have been both technical and managerial for companies such as Enterovax, FH Faulding & Co Limited, Purepac Pharmaceuticals Inc (USA) and Mayne Pharma International.  During this time he has held positions in various capacities within Product Development, Technical Services, Planning, Engineering and Operations Management.  Vince is responsible for Manufacturing, Technical Services, Engineering, Environmental, Health and Safety, Training, Procurement and Distribution.
